Michigan Center For Pain Management Is a Strong Option for Pain Management Procedures

The Michigan Center for Pain Management team is at the forefront of the latest advancements in managing chronic pain. Because of this, we wanted to highlight some of our pain management offerings, many of which may be covered by your medical insurance. We’ve recently brought on another doctor to our team, Dr. Robert Farhat, an expert in non-surgical spine care who also treats all types of musculoskeletal conditions.

A Quick Introduction to Dr. Robert Farhat

Dr. Robert Farhat is a welcome addition to our medical office because of his varied experience in treating orthopedic conditions without surgery. Dr. Farhat attended the MSU-College of Osteopathic Medicine for his medical degree and went on to a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency and a Pain Medicine fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Farhat is focused on utilizing the latest interventional treatment options for various musculoskeletal conditions. Much of Dr. Farhat’s work has centered on identifying the pain source and treating it definitively instead of masking the underlying cause, as is often done with traditional medicine.

Insurance Options for Pain Management

As insurance coverage for medical procedures becomes more complex, it’s critical to have a medical team that understands how procedures are properly coded and the entire process of working with different insurance carriers. Unfortunately, if we’re dealing with insurance carriers, we must start with the most basic treatment options, such as rest, physical therapy, and anti-inflammatory medications. Once we’ve exhausted these treatment options, we can offer other more effective pain management treatment procedures that insurance may cover.

Pain Management Procedures That May Be Covered By Insurance

  • Epidural Injections
  • Steroid Injections
  • Radio Frequency Ablations
  • Spinal Cord Stimulation
